CORALL SPECTROGRAM
CRL OBJECTS
CORALL is the ion spectrometer with energy range 30eV - 25keV
onboard INTERBALL/TAIL satellite. It has a fan-shape aperture
with polar angle range 30eV - 150eV divided into 5 channels.
(Polar axis is the spacecraft spin axis directed sunward).
Polar Channel 1 looks sunward, Channel 5 looks antisunward.
During one spacecraft revolution instrument obtains 32 energy spectra
associated with 32 azimuthal directions, covering full sphere except
two small sunward and antisunward cones.
Available objects are:
-
CRLN - color coded Energy versus Time spectrogram
of CORALL Channel N.
N can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The countrate of
of the channel per second is encoded by
color. Color coding can be displayed
by the CRLSCALE object.
These objects display just raw data.
Because of different geometrical factors for
different channels comparision between them
should be done with care.
These objects do not need any settings in
XRange and YRange fields.
-
CRLSCALE - Color Scale for countrate
for CRL1-5 objects. This object
does not need Xrange and Yrange.
Spectra are averaged dynamicaly while plotting. So it is possible
to plot data for any time interval.
Spectra averaging and color scale
are controlled by 'crlcom.res' file :
500 ; The number of spectra per graph
20.0 ; Color coef.
