Attitude

To calculate the attitude of the spacesraft for the given time the set of coefficients is to be used.

• Tail Probe
• Auroral Probe

Using the coefficients one can calculate the angles alpha, beta between the Sun vector projection onto XY and XZ planes of the spacecraft and the angle gamma which is the angle between the North Pole of Ecliptic direction projection onto YZ plane and Y axis.

The Geocentric Solar-Ecliptic reference frame:

• X axis is directed to the Sun,
• Z axis is directed to the North Ecliptic Pole,
• Y axis supplements the right three.

The applied Software gives the possibility to transfer a direction from the GSE frame to the S/C frame as well as from the S/C frame to the GSE frame.

The applied example illustrates a way of using this Software.
