Please check the primary site (a) for updates. ____________________________________ Installation steps for the default configuration with ksh on a SUN sparc station: 1. Place the package prassadco.tar in your ${HOME} directory and untar it (tar -xvf prassadco.tar). It creates a directory ${HOME}/staff_sa containing subdirectories data bin prassadco PPSP and a script file n2 2. Type export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${HOME}/staff_sa/bin:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH and add this line to your initialization file (.kshrc) 3. a) Insert a CD-ROM or locate the CD-ROM files on the disk. For downloaded files use ${HOME}/staff_sa/makeCD script. b) If possible, download primary parameter files of the FGM instrument and summary parameter AUX files, and place them to the subdirectory PPSP (see PPSP/PPSP.DirInfo). c) Change directory to ${HOME}/staff_sa and type n2 d) the script tells you what to do next. e) If it does not work you can download guide.pdf (PRASSADCO documentation) and try to read it. ____________________________________ NOTES: (a) Portability: - Binary files in ${HOME}/staff_sa/bin are compiled for a SUN sparc station. - IDL files in ${HOME}/staff_sa/prassadco work with IDL Version 5.3 (sunos sparc). There should be no problem of portability to another system within the same or higher IDL version. (b) Configuration: If you wish to move the files from the default ${HOME}/staff_sa to another directory you must modify - variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH (installation step 2) - variable sapath in the n2 script (following the configuration note in the header of this script) (c) History: 16 Sep 99 Original package trait_SA.tar to create N2 files, Luc Casagrande, CETP (Luc.Casagrande@cetp.ipsl.fr) 17 Jan 00 New version of the bin/n1toN2sa file, LC 14 Apr 00 PRASSADCO processing added (prassadco.tar) Ondrej Santolik, LPCE (ondrej.santolik@mff.cuni.cz) Preliminary version of guide.pdf 25 May 00 Integration into a single package prassadco.tar, new version of n2 script, modifications in data and prassadco directories, OS 14 Jun 00 First version of guide.pdf (LPCE/NTS/073.A), update of prassadco directory, OS New version of bin/n1toN2sa by Yvonne de Conchy, DESPA (deconchy@MESIOB.OBSPM.FR) 28 Jun 00 Second version of guide.pdf (LPCE/NTS/073.B), update of prassadco directory, OS 8 Sep 00 Update of calibration files, new version of bin/n1toN2sa, YdC update of n2 script and prassadco directory after tests with data from CLUSTER1 and CLUSTER2, OS 27 Nov 00 new version of bin/n1toN2sa (Oct25), YdC fixed some bugs in prassadco and read_N2SA, OS 31 Jan 01 new version of ted (2.4, Dec 04 2000) new version of bin/n1toN2sa (Jan 22 2001), new cal files YdC new version of prassadco and read_N2SA (Jan31), OS PPSP subdirectory added, OS scripts n2, read_batch and pra_batch modified to handle chunks of original N2 file, new _pra.ini templates, OS. 2-8 Feb 01 corrections of read_N2SA, prassadco, and scripts, makeCD added, OS 9 Feb 2001 downgrading ted (v2.3) because of problems with time, sign of both electric components provisionally inverted , OS. 21 Feb 2001 new versions of read_N2SA and prassadco OS. 10 Mar 2001 ASCII FGM files added, new versions of read_N2SA, prassadco and scripts OS. 14 Jun 2001 new versions of read_N2SA and prassadco, OS.
